There is some joy in Mudville afterall! Backs against the wall, Pittsburgh and Vancouver staved off elimination last night. I guess my pre-game phone call to Geno Malkin worked. I told him that if he doesn't start scoring some goals then I won't win the pool and if I don't win the pool, I won't take him to his favorite Montreal strip bars next time he's in town. It'd be hard for Philly to blow this 3 game lead, but Bryzgalov doesn't look like he has any interest in stopping pucks. If Fleury can be half decent and the Pens can stay out of the box and/or stop the Flyers PP (9/15 on the series) I still think they have a good chance. They toned down the stupidity last night - necessary because they don't have the personnel out goon the Flyers. If they get frustrated and start running around trying to decapitate people they are playing into the Flyers' hands.
